President Barack Obama has assembled one of the most impressive teams to start off his presidency in the history of the United States. The experience and knowledge possessed by his bi-partisan choices is phenomenal by most standards.

His running mate, Vice President Joe Biden, was Obama\’s first pick to join his team. Biden promises to take up challenges not usually delegated to a Vice President, such as the Middle Class Task Force. Having been elected one of the youngest Senators in history at age 29, Biden has served on the Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Foreign Relations Committee for years, playing an integral role in the 1994 Crime Bill and the Violence Against Women Act.

Perhaps the most famous member of the team is Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton. Former first lady to President Bill Clinton and Senator of New York for 8 years, she brings with her the vast qualifications as a world leader to the State Department and Foreign Service.

Secretary Timothy Geithner is the head of the Department of the Treasury. Before joining Obama\’s team, Geithner served as the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He also formerly worked for the Treasury as well as the International Monetary Fund.

Joining the Obama team after being appointed by former President Bush, Secretary of Defense Bob Gates is the principle architect of the modern military. He previously served as the President of Texas A&M and as Director of Central Intelligence from 1991 to 1993.

Attorney General Eric Holder of the Justice Department was Deputy Attorney General under President Clinton. He has served as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and was nominated to become an Associate Judge of the Superior Court in D.C. by President Reagan.

Secretary Ken Salazar of the Department of the Interior was the Senator from Colorado. He served on the Finance, Agriculture, Energy and Natural Resources, Ethics, Veterans Affairs, and Aging Committees. He was integral in crafting the Renewable Fuels, Consumer Protection and Energy Efficiency Act of 2007 and broadening the State Children\’s Health Insurance Program. Previously, he served as Colorado\’s Attorney General.

Former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack serves as Obama\’s Secretary of Agriculture. He began as the mayor of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa before becoming a state senator in 1992. He worked with federal and worldwide officials to support independent farmers and ranchers as well as enacting livestock market reform and price regulations.

Secretary Shaun Donovan runs the Housing and Urban Development Department. He worked as Commissioner of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development where he oversaw the construction and preservation of 165,000 homes.

Secretary of Transportation Ray LaH ood served in the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. As a Republican, he served as chair or ranking member with Democratic Representative Jame Oberstar. He has worked closely with Oberstar to build a stronger and more efficient transportation system.

Secretary Steven Chu, Ph.D. was the Professor of Physics and Molecular and Cellular Biology at Berkeley before coming on board with the Department of Energy. He is known for his research into cooling and trapping of atoms with laser light, receiving a Nobel Prize in 1997.

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan had served as CEO of the Chicago Public Schools and reorganized the school program both economically and for results.

The Department of Veteran Affairs is led by Secretary Eric Shinseki, a retired four-star general. He has served as Chief of Staff of the Army, he initiated the Stryker Interim-Force Brigade Combat System that reorganized the Army and conceived of the Future Combat Systems program.

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is the first woman to hold the office after serving as governor in the state of Arizona. She worked as chair of the National Governors\’ Association and named top five Governors of 2005 by Time magazine. She also served as Arizona Attorney General.

Rounding out Obama\’s team is the White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. He represented Illinois 5th congressional district in the House and acted as chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

March 11 (Bloomberg) — A magnitude 6.9 earthquake hit southern Chile today, shaking buildings in downtown Santiago and prompting tsunami warnings less than two weeks after a Feb. 27 temblor killed more than 400 people.

Now that Obama is officially president he’s finding out what past presidents have discovered. It’s near impossible to keep all of those campaign promises. It’s also the common tale of the lovable PRINCE who has now become the despised KING!. Sure, Obama’s popularity rating is high; however, is drifting lower and his first six weeks in office has that sense of COLD WATER being thrown in one’s face. 

Obama promised to do away with earmarks. You know, all of those get your hands in the cookie jar that all politicians use to get reelected. Obama’s just signed the $410 billion bill that has NINE THOUSAND earmarks.

Obama promised a transparent government then today Russia went public with his private letter that seems to leave Europe hanging out there without a missile shield as he was willing to exchange that with Russia for some help with Iran; however, Putin and company said no thanks and went public with the not so transparent (would you say secretive) letter. So much for olive branches.

And the promise to cut taxes for 95% of the people just isn’t going to happen!

Ah, how easy it was to RUN for the office than BE the office- of president.

Republicans attacked President Obama’s proposed $3.6 trillion budget Tuesday as offering “red ink as far as the eye can see,” and Democrats even suggested that the president might be trying to solve too many problems at once. As administration officials trekked to Capitol Hill to defend Obama’s budget, they were met with skepticism from both sides of the aisle because of the huge changes the president has promised to make in taxes, health care, energy and education.

$3,600,000,000,000.00! It’s just NOT going to happen. There’s too many Democrats that can’t get reelected in their districts by backing such a budget. The president’s budget increases taxes on every American, and does so during a recession,” Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., told Geithner. Camp also complained about provisions that would limit the size of charitable deductions that could be taken by families earning more than $250,000 a year.

Higher taxes on EVERYONE and a DEFICIT north of $1.7 TRILLION? It simply doesn’t make sense and neither was Barack Obama’s statement today that he didn’t care how Wall Street was doing as he compared it to political polls that are up and down. Up and down? How about DOWN DOWN DOWN? Such a message tells investors to keep running for the exits, and he’ll soon find out that if you kill the goose that lays the golden eggs there aren’t enough eggs to do ANY of the things he wants to do….things that need to be done.

DUALITY doesn’t work anywhere- especially in politics. Welcome to the real world Barack! I wish you well, but you need some moderation, a little backing off of the socialist agenda before you get tagged with some impressions that’ll make any decisions you make untenable regardless of the Democratic majority in Congress.

I’ve met quite a few Live sound techs that could have benefitted a great deal from this book, rather than having to piece all of this info together from other sources as I have over the years.

However I don’t do Live sound, and even though I was familiar with some of the material having it presented together in a single context is quite useful. I still picked up a great deal that I had either not known or just plain missed in learning things elsewhere, and I’m sure a subsequent read would fill in even more gaps. Thankfully (imo) it’s also written in a style that doesn’t attempt to pander to the reader or give an ‘easy’ read for the casual reader, so approach with the intent of reading a moderate technical discussion.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama declared Monday that insurance giant American International Group is in financial straits because of “recklessness and greed” and said he intends to stop it from paying out millions in executive bonuses.

“It’s hard to understand how derivative traders at AIG warranted any bonuses, much less $165 million in extra pay,” Obama said at the outset of an appearance to announce help for small businesses hurt by the deep recession.

“How do they justify this outrage to the taxpayers who are keeping the company afloat,” the president said.

Obama spoke out in the wake of reports that surfaced over the weekend saying that financially strapped American International Group Inc. was paying substantial bonuses to executives.

Noting that AIG has “received substantial sums” of federal aid from the federal government, Obama said he has asked Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner “to use that leverage and pursue every legal avenue to block these bonuses and make the American taxpayers whole.”

Said Obama: “All across the country, there are people who work hard and meet their responsibilities every day, without the benefit of government bailouts or multimillion-dollar bonuses. And all they ask is that everyone, from Main Street to Wall Street to Washington, play by the same rules.”

“This isn’t just a matter of dollars and cents,” he added. “It’s about our fundamental values.”

The $165 million was payable to executives by Sunday and was part of a larger total payout reportedly valued at $450 million. The company has benefited from more than $170 billion in a federal rescue.

AIG reported this month that it had lost $61.7 billion for the fourth quarter of last year, the largest corporate loss in history. The bulk of the payments at issue cover AIG Financial Products, the unit of the company that sold credit default swaps, the risky contracts that caused massive losses for the insurer.

Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, earlier Monday charged that the move to pay bonuses amounted to “rewarding incompetence.”

“These people may have a right to their bonuses. They don’t have a right to their jobs forever,” said Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat.

Frank noted that the Federal Reserve Board, using a Depression-era statute, was the institution that gave AIG its initial government bailout, before Congress passed legislation providing for additional assistance and said that no enough safeguards were built into the deal.

It also was revealed over the weekend that American International Group Inc. used more than $90 billion in federal aid to pay out foreign and domestic banks, some of whom had received their own multibillion-dollar U.S. government bailouts.

Some of the biggest recipients of the AIG money were Goldman Sachs at $12.9 billion, and three European banks – France’s Societe Generale at $11.9 billion, Germany’s Deutsche Bank at $11.8 billion, and Britain’s Barclays PLC at $8.5 billion. Merrill Lynch, which also is undergoing federal scrutiny of its bonus plans, received $6.8 billion as of Dec. 31.

The money went to banks to cover their losses on complex mortgage investments, as well as for collateral needed for other transactions.

“We ought to explore everything that we can through the government to make sure that this money is not wasted,” said Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala. “These people brought this on themselves. Now you’re rewarding failure. A lot of these people should be fired, not awarded bonuses. This is horrible. It’s outrageous.”

Frank said he was disgusted, asserting that “these bonuses are going to people who screwed this thing up enormously.”

“Maybe it’s time to fire some people,” he said. “We can’t keep them from getting bonuses but we can keep them from having their jobs. … In high school, they wouldn’t have gotten retention (bonuses), they would have gotten detention.”

AIG has agreed to Obama administration requests to restrain future payments. Geithner had pressed the president’s case with AIG’s chairman, Edward Liddy, last week.

“He stepped in and berated them, got them to reduce the bonuses following every legal means he has to do this,” said Austan Goolsbee, staff director of President Barack Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board.

Obama did note in his remarks Monday that Liddy “came on board after the contracts that led to these bonuses were agr3eed to last year.”

In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS’ “60 Minutes,” Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke did not address the bonuses but expressed his frustration with the AIG intervention.

“It makes me angry. I slammed the phone more than a few times on discussing AIG,” Bernanke said. “It’s – it’s just absolutely – I understand why the American people are angry.”

In a letter to Geithner dated Saturday, Liddy said outside lawyers had informed the company that AIG had contractual obligations to make the bonus payments and could face lawsuits if it did not do so.  (http://104Inc.com)

Since Barack Obama has been running as US president candidate I’ve been impressed with Obama’s inspiring and very positive leadership style and more importantly; with the effect and impact his actions are having on people all around the world. The correlation between his style as a leader is exceptionally valid in the current business world and I think that more leaders of businesses and teams should be adopting a more empowering way in which to get high performance from their team members. This is why:

At the start of his campaign the US was in a state of fear, frustration and anger. Obama brought a breath of fresh air and turns around the US ship; he brings new leadership and new hope. Something true leaders always bring!

Obama must have studied the lessons learned of some previous US presidents (e.g. Kennedy, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Eisenhower) and various true leaders (e.g. Martin Luther King Jr., Robert E. Lee, Jack Welch), because he adopted and applies a lot of their values, skills and strengths.

With his “Change, yes we can!” messages he combines his vision that the US can reinvent itself, with the statement that anyone can play and should play a role in it, no matter what kind of race, colour or religion they have. “We’re all on the same boat, sailing in the same direction” is the indirect message he brings.

His speeches and actions are all focused on change, responsibility and accountability. The energy and change he brings usually spreads like a virus and is having a positive effect on billions of people around the globe. So far he ticks all the boxes of a passionate, honest, genuine, energetic, results focused and strong transformation leader. This is just what the US and large parts of the rest of the world were in desperate need of!

The previous leader had established an environment of command & control, which he justified and sold to the public by creating fear and using all kind of power and control strategies. He wasn’t building a team, he was putting fences around many people and things. People started to hide and often blame each other (finger pointing), which is a natural response to a command & order culture.
Obama’s leadership style is a major contrast, as he creates an environment and culture which is based on core values, personal responsibility, hope, inspiration, transparency, collective positive goals, results, being accountable and being part of something new and something big! In other words: he’s building a team and the US population are his team members! Wow!

We as leaders, managers and entrepreneurs have the same task: create and clearly communicate our vision, hope, passion, inspiration and the journey we’ll take our team members on! The collective energy you’ll build among your team(s), will result in massive positive results! The best teams can take on the toughest challenges. It will enable your team members to come up with new creative ideas, innovations, new ways to collaborate, improve the moral, improve the overall performance and improve client satisfaction! Everyone will feel part of it and will be motivated to take part in the challenges your organisation is facing. “Yes, we can!”, “Yes, you can!” and “Yes, I can!” will rule!

Please do yourself a favour and ask yourself what it would take for you to create the “Obama Effect” within your team(s) and organisation. It will allow you to get the best out of your team members and stimulate and coach them to achieve things they could not imagine to be possible for them. When you start to bring messages of hope and inspiration, the way up will naturally be created. As long as you’ll keep your communication succinct, sincere, generous, open and honest!

Obama is asking us to believe in change, and I for one do. What is it about this man that makes us want to follow him? He is charismatic beyond words; he is hopeful, pregressive, intelligent, peaceful, inspiring and down to earth. He stands for something we sorely need in our declining country, change. On his website he has a quote, “I’m asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington… I’m asking you tobelieve in yours.” And it seems that America is ready to believe.

Obama stands for the things that made America great in the first place. He stands for justice for all people, no matter what their race, creed or gender. He cares about the poor and the down trodden masses that are ever increasing in America as our middle class declines into poverty. He isn’t going to sit back and let the rich get richer at the expense of the poor. He won’t let large corporations shirk their tax responsibilities any more and place that huge burden on the working class. Obama sees the world in a differenent light than these old-school politicians he is running against, their ways are destined to become part of our bitter past.

As an American Muslim, I feel that Barack Obama is going to be the best candidate to protect the civil rights of Muslims in America and abroad. He has lived in a Muslim country and he has had Muslim friends growing up. H went to a school where he studied Islam for two hours a week. This man is not going to fuel the flames of hatred, ignorance and suspicion that the present administration has fired up.

What about the rest of the world, what are they saying? Well, you only have to read comments posted by people around the world on various news websites to know that the world wants Barack Obama as the next American President. I have read comments from Nigeria and Singapore and beyond stating that having Obama as president will restore foreign countries’ respect for America once again. The world wants America to change. The youth want America to change. But will America allow that change to happen?

It seems that America has a violent past when we are asked to embrace change. Abraham Lincoln is known in our history as a great man who united the north and south, abolished slavery and intiated the Emancipation Procalamation. However, the confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth assassinated this great man for the changes he brought about, not all of America could handle the radical change.

John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy were both visionaries who wanted to do great things for our country, namely pulling out of the Vietnam War and focusing those funds on building a stronger America. But, once again, America couldn’t handle the changes JFK stood for and he was also assassinated. And Bobby Kennedy, intent on following in his brother’s footsteps to bring about the changes America needed, also assassinated. What does this say about change in America? Can we handle it?

Unfortunately, this is not just an American phenomenon, recent events in Pakistan show that once again, change is something to kill over. Prime Minister Bhutto may have brought about some wonderful, progressive changes to the Pakistani government, but now we’ll never know.

For Senator Barack Obama, I pray that we are not left wondering, “what if?” I pray for his safety so that he can continue on his mission to bring about change in America and around the world. The world is going to be a safer place if Barack Obama is allowed to be the 44th President of the United States of America. America is going to begin the recovery process when Obama takes control. Keep democracy alive, vote for Barack Obama.

In a move that could potentially sway Democratic Hispanics to vote for Barack Obama, New Mexico Governor Richardson announced his endorsement of Obama for President on Friday. This move was surprising, since he served the Clinton administration as a United States Ambassador to the United Nations and as the Energy Secretary under the Presidency of Hillary’s husband, Bill Clinton.

Although Governor Richardson reaffirmed his affection for the Clinton family, he said of Obama in a statement given in Oregon on Friday, March 21, “Your candidacy is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our nation, and you are a once-in-a-lifetime leader.” He also said he felt it was time for a new generation to lead in the White House.

Both Clinton and Obama have been trying to garner support from the highly popular Governor of New Mexico. Richardson referred to Obama’s brave speech earlier this week tackling race issues as his motivation to endorse the candidate. He said the speech touched him personally, and that he felt Obama not only understood the Hispanic people, but that he would respect them as well. This could have a significant effect on the voting preferences of minority small business owners, families, and anyone who has felt misunderstood or under appreciated by former administrations.

Many political strategists felt that Obama’s moving speech, during which he laid his soul bare to the world in a highly personal oration, would have a significant impact on the nation’s minority groups.

The garnering of Governor Richardson’s support could help sway the Latino vote in Obama’s favor with the newly publicized endorsement. This could be a potentially significant vote, since the Hispanic population is the fastest growing segment of the electorate.

On “Super Tuesday,” Hispanics heavily favored Hillary Clinton, with two out of three Latinos voting in her favor on the Democratic ticket. There is speculation as to how well the primary’s forecast the outcome of the general election, though, since relatively few people take the time to vote in the primary elections.

The Clinton Campaign Dismisses Richardson’s Influence

Hillary Clinton’s chief political strategist, Mark Penn, said he felt the time for Richardson to significantly affect the outcome of the elections had long since passed. Clinton herself also stated the endorsement was not significant. This could strike some as highly unusual, since Richardson played such a key role in the Bill Clinton Presidency.

As a successful and highly skilled negotiator and diplomat, as well as his high degree of popularity among his constituents, there has been talk about having Governor Richardson become Secretary of State in a Democratic Presidency, or possibly even running on the ticket as Vice President.

As of right now, Governor Richardson is a super delegate with nominating powers if a vote is necessary to determine the Democratic Presidential candidate in November, which would occur if neither candidate garnered enough electoral votes. This is yet another reason Richardson’s support is so crucial at this stage in the nomination process.

There is uncertainty right now as to how Governor Richardson’s support will sway the Latino vote come November, and whether it will sway Hispanics to vote for Obama over Hillary Clinton. For now, though, his support, while downplayed by the Clinton camp, is a crucial supporter that both had been trying to win over. For now, it appears Obama has won this particular battle.

An ancient blessing on black Americans will take full effect in 2009. Thousands of years ago God had placed a blessing on black Israelites through Jeremiah. It was not to come about until a certain number of years expired. Those years will have expired in 2009. There might be a spectacular manifestation of God’s blessing as two black men, Barack Obama and Colin Powell, ascend to the very top of national and world power.

God’s 2500-year span for Israel and Judah

Standard lengths of Biblical dispersions have been 2500 and 390 years. This information is not new.

Researchers have already noted that the modern nation of Israel (Judea) began to form after the Balfour Declaration in 1917, which was 2500 was years after Jews were dispersed in 583 BC. Researchers have also noted that the United States began in 1776, which was 2500 years after Old Testament Israel was dispersed in 724 BC.

Applying the 2500-year dispersion to the black experience

Researchers have always applied the 2500-year span to the white experience. I believe I am adding completely unique and original information to studies of the 2500-year span by applying it to the black experience. This information provides the Biblical significance of Barack Obama’s meteoric success in his campaign for the White House. Obama would not have been successful if God had forgotten the blessing that He had made to black Israelites through Jeremiah.

Refreshing your memory about the 2500-year span

The Israelite capital of Samaria was built in 880 BC. Israelites were dispersed by God to be without a homeland for 2500 years. Those 2500 years ended in exactly 1620 when Pilgrims built the Plymouth Colony in the New Testament Promised Land of North America.

The people of Israel had lost their nation in 724 BC after their defeat by Assyria. God set a span of years for them to go without a nation. Exactly 2500 years later, in 1776, New Testament Israel won a war of independence and again became a nation.

The 2500-year blessing on black Israelites

My study explains the timely rise of black Americans to the top leadership positions in New Testament Israel (USA). Their rise was set to occur in 2009, which seems to be the year Barack Obama will become President or Vice President of the United States. It appears that God will make a spectacular and welcomed manifestation of a blessing He once pronounced through the prophet Jeremiah.

In order to comprehend black Israelite history, you need to review the Books of Kings and recognize the distinction between Israel and Judah. Israelites left the Promised Land when Assyrians dispersed them in 724 BC. Jews were dispersed by Babylonians over a hundred years later.

A black Remnant was left behind

In my opinion, Assyrians and Babylonians ignored black and white laborers when they sought captives to take back to their countries. The Biblical account seems to indicate that captors took only nobility and highly skilled artisans. Everyone else was left behind. I think that many black and white laborers remained in the Promised Land after wealthy Israelites and Jews were taken captive. Jeremiah called them the Remnant.

The government in Jerusalem had remained for over a hundred years after Assyrians took the Israelite government away. So, for a while the government in Jerusalem protected the Remnant from raiders. But, after Jewish leaders were taken captive by Babylonians, the remaining government was gone. Police protection was gone. The black Remnant was left without protection from hostile tribes that stole their harvests and burned their homes. So, they decided to give up on the Promised Land and move to Egypt, which was part of Africa.

Jeremiah’s promise of a blessing for the Remnant

The prophet Jeremiah was dispatched by God to announce a double-edged blessing for black Israelites. Essentially God said that He intended to make the black Remnant into a great nation. The Remnant would have become a world empire if it had remained in the Promised Land. I hope nobody passes up an opportunity like that again.

God essentially said, “We can do this the short way or we can do this the long way (Jeremiah 42-45). Either way, you are going to be my people and I am going to bless you.”

The Remnant decided to do it the long way and they proceeded into Egypt and Africa. The Remnant also decided to continue to celebrate Ishtar (Easter) and make Easter cakes. They didn’t want to give up pagan observations. If a lesson were to be learned, it would be to drop the pagan aspects of the Resurrection celebration.

It must have been a spectacle to behold. Jeremiah was a blue-eyed white man according to an account written by the Jewish Princess Tephi. He probably stood on a rock to address the Remnant and announce God’s blessings. I assume Jeremiah was very disappointed when the Remnant chose to proceed to Egypt/Africa. In retrospect we see that the blessing to the Remnant was postponed for the same 2500-year span that had been applied to those Israelites who had been taken captive by Assyrians. We shall see that additional time was added. Eventually, God’s blessing would take effect in 2009.

God’s blessing is becoming apparent as the year 2009 approaches. Amazingly enough, another blue-eyed white man is addressing black Americans and reminding them that God is keeping His promise and will now bless them. The elections of Barack Obama and Colin Powell are proof that God is keeping his word.

Black American researchers have believed that Isaiah 45:14 was a prophecy of African slaves brought to America. I will add my belief that God brought His wayward Remnant back to Him when slave ships landed in Jamestown, Virginia in 1619. Recall that Israelites who had once been taken captive by Assyrians had completed their 2500-year dispersion in 1620? Normally, the Remnant would have also finished their dispersion in 1620. But, God added time to the Remnant because they had once refused to return to the Promised Land. The time that was added matched standard Biblical lengths.

If you are doing the math as you read along, you need to understand that the year 1619 is the same as 1620. This is because spans of years from one date to another can be figured inclusively and exclusively. Plus, Old Testament Israelites used the Hebrew Calendar, which began in September. The point is that 1619 and 1620 can be reckoned to be the same year.

An additional 250-year span

You might ask why the Remnant continued as slaves after the 2500-year curse ended in 1620. The answer is that God had told the Remnant they would lose their connection to Him. This disconnection happened over time. The Remnant blended into African populations and lost its connection to God and the Promised Land.

Because the Remnant became disconnected from the true God, it had to be reconnected. This is where an additional 250-year span came in. Disobedient forefathers in the time of Jeremiah had condemned their descendants to an additional 10% (2500 x 10%=250). During this additional 250-year period the Remnant reconnected to the God their ancient ancestors had forsaken.

This additional 250-year span ended in 1868 when black men were finally given American citizenship as a result of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. By 1868, the Remnant had thoroughly reconnected with God and God rewarded them with citizenship in their New Testament Promised Land. What’s more, black Americans have become champions of Christianity. In contrast, many white Americans are dangerously drifting from God. White Americans ought to consider the severe punishment that God has had for backsliders.

390 years and God’s fulfilled promises

The Remnant had another span of time to fulfill before they could rise to the blessing God had promised them. God said He would make the Remnant a great people. In retrospect we see that God‘s promise would come about 390 years after they arrived in Jamestown in 1620. That would be 2009. In 2009, when Barack Obama takes office, we will see that God did indeed keep His promise. And it would not surprise me to find that both Barack Obama and Colin Powell are the descendants of the very leaders to whom Jeremiah promised this blessing at the time of the dispersion (Diaspora).

In Ezekiel 4, we see that God applied a 390-year time span to Israelites. It is now apparent that the 390-year span was applied to the Remnant. The Remnant had been brought back to God in 1619/1920. But, it would not be for another 390 years that the blessing would take full effect. After 390 years, which will be exactly 2009, God will raise black leaders up to the height of power in God’s great nation. God had promised the Remnant through Jeremiah that He would do this- and we are about to see God fulfill His promise in 2009 in a spectacular way.

Barack Obama is the champion of the Democratic Party and Colin Powell will become the champion of the Republican Party. It appears that a black person will henceforth be in the White House simply to capture the black vote in every future presidential election.

I brought up the 2500-year span for Judah. I believe when we see that the 2500-year time span for Judah was fulfilled, we will be assured that the 390-year time span for black Americans will be fulfilled.

Researchers have noted that a 2500-year time span applied to Judah. In 533 BC some Jews had returned to Jerusalem after their Babylonian captivity. 2500 years later, in 1969, they took possession of the City of Jerusalem after the 6-day War.

40 years, Ezekiel and Ethiopian Jews

In Ezekiel 4, we see that God applied a 40-year time span to Judah. This is in contrast to the 390-year span applied to Israelites. These are actually positive and beneficial years for Black Jews and Black Israelites. They are years of reconnection to God that end in great blessings.

Black Israelites: Ezekiel 4:5 I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the house of Israel.

Black Jews: Ezekiel 4:6 “After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the house of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year.

A 40-year reconnection process for Black Jews began in 1969 when an explorer discovered a large population of Black Orthodox Jews in Ethiopia and brought them to world attention. In that same year, the first of a serious of efforts began to connect Ethiopian Jews to the modern nation of Israel. In 1969 Dr. Graenum Berger founded the American Association for Ethiopian Jews. Since that year, investigators declared Ethiopian Jews to be blood descendants ancient Jews. Remnant Jews began migration back to the Promised Land.

We see Ezekiel’s 40-year time span between 1969 and 2009. The 390-year span that was applied to Remnant Israelites will have run concurrent to the 40-year span applied to Remnant Jews. Both spans will end in 2009.

You might ask why Black Jews faired better than Black Israelites when it came to lengths of time spans. One reason might be that the Remnant in Ethiopia continued to worship God and retained its identity. In contrast, Remnant Israelites totally disconnected from God and lost their identity. This necessitated a painful reconnection period. Slavery was utilized as a means to cleanse Remnant Israelites and to acculturate them. Unlike Remnant Israelites, Ethiopian Jews have had no need to be acculturated.

Can all this be true? I don’t think the experiences of Black Jews and Black Israelites, in light of Ezekiel’s prophecies, can be dismissed as pure coincidence. Plus, the experience of white Jews and white Israelites blends in perfectly. Time spans and dates are too exact to be coincidental. Of course, there are always atheists and racist religious leaders that are emotionally motivated to “disprove” anything that substantiates prophecy and/or elevates the status of Black people.

What is the message and the moral?

The message is that God controls everything He wants to control, including presidential elections. If you think the election of Barack Obama and Colin Powell are God‘s decisions, you are right. If you think the return of Jews to Jerusalem was God‘s decision, you are right. And the Bible clearly states that Palestinians and Jews will live in peace. That now seems impossible but prophecy states it will happen.

The moral of this research is that Christians and Jews, whether black or white, had better remain close to God and do what He tells them to do. Also, do not adopt foreign religions, pagan practices and atheism. 2500 years is a long time to wander the earth as prey to other people. It is a long time to be without a place to call home. Chains of love can be miserable, even when they are God’s chains.

1619 + 390 = 2009 Election of Barack Obama to White House.
